You’ve poured your heart and soul out on the page and letting someone else see it is a scary thing. I get it. That’s why Pitch2script is a judgment free zone. There are no bad scripts or pitches, just works in progress.
How do you know who to work with?
I believe in giving writers practical, no-nonsense, but supportive feedback to help you craft your script into the best version it can be and not break the bank doing it. If that sounds good to you, then please allow me to rock your world with some notes!
I've worked with writers who have sold pitches to Fox, TNT, CBS, NBC and ABC, have been staffed on premium cable dramas. Clients include writers who have won awards including a Nicholl Fellowship finalist, as well as published novelists.
My adoring fans and customers have said, "Marla's approach has changed the way I will pitch forever," and "She has incredible ideas, tremendous patience, and a true sense of character, tone, and place," while one client called me "a fun, hip, whip-smart fairy godmother."
Because getting script notes can be confusing, with more options for people and services than dishes on a Cheesecake Factory menu, I'll keep it simple and direct.

Script Coverage |
Script Notes |
Coaching Packages |
Coverage involves a 1 to 1.5 page synopsis, one page of comments and a recommendation of where your script is mostly likely a fit. I’ll also connect with you via Zoom for no less than thirty minutes to discuss my comments and answer any questions.
This is the most basic service but also useful if you want a one page sales tool for your script, you want to make sure your script is as clear as it could be, or you’re new to working with a writing coach. $75 for a pilot
$125 for a feature script up to 120 pages (If it’s longer than that, here’s a free tip – edit it down to at least 120 pages.)
Script FeedbackMore than coverage, but less detailed than a full blown set of notes, feedback involves a brief paragraph summarizing the script and 2-3 pages going over what works in the script and what doesn’t, as well as thoughts of a likely home for your script. Afterward, we’ll chat about my comments and what steps you should take next over Zoom for no less than thirty minutes.
Feedback is a great way to get useable quotes highlighting the merits of your script for cover letters or to post on social media. The paragraph description is also a useful tool to use to pitch somebody your script if they don’t have time to read coverage. $100 for a pilot
$150 for a feature script up to 120 pages

This is it, the big moment. I’ll read your script and write specific notes in the pages and go over them all, as well as my general thoughts on character, dialogue, pacing, readability, and the plot, in a Zoom meeting. I’ll record the meeting and send it to you so you can focus on asking questions to clarify the notes rather than jotting down my pearls of wisdom.
These notes and our conversation afterward will give you the confidence you need to continue the re-writing process, knowing you’re making your script better, not just different. Pilot notes - $350
Feature notes $450
Both include notes on the pages of your script as well as the Zoom session recording afterwards.

Are you ready to treat yourself to personalized, one-on-one coaching? If so, let me be your guide and accountability partner as you take your writing to the next level.
Just like the script notes, I’ll writes note and suggestions on the pages of your script as well as the Zoom call to talk them over with you. Then we’ll strategize your next step. Together, we’ll make a plan for when you can implement the notes we discussed into your script given the roadblocks life may have put in your way. I’ll check back with you midway to make sure you’re still on track and am available by email to answer any questions that might come up as you’re working on your next draft. Then we rinse and repeat all over again with your revised script. I’ll make notes of what changes worked and what things still need to be worked on. At the end of the second Zoom call, I’ll help you figure out where to go from here. Pilot - $650
Feature (up to 120 pages) - $800
Both include two sets of notes on the pages of your script as well as two recorded Zoom sessions.

NEW!
Review of the first 10 pages of your script
A new offering for writers who aren't sure and want to test the waters. I'll review the first 10 pages of your script and give you feedback via a Zoom notes call. Maybe that's all you need. Maybe you like how in sync we are that you want me to read the rest of your script. If that's the case, I'll apply the fee you've already paid to a longer notes package so win-win!
